Before starting the translation process, I always carry out a careful terminological research collecting reliable reference material (both in Internet or in specialized texts) and I read several times the source text in order to gain a good understanding of it. I always proofread my translations and deliver them per e-mail, fax or on CD-ROMs within the stipulated deadline.
Thanks to a fast DSL connection I'm available at any time and you can always reach me with a single e-mail. This is a very important aspect for a fruitful collaboration.
I use innovative translation software like SDL Trados, Transit XV, Wordfast, Transtool, MemoQ and Across. These CAT tools assure the terminological coherence of the target text. I also use up to date technical dictionaries (Marolli, Zanichelli, Picchi, Devoto-Oli, Hoepli etc.) and specialized texts.
This is the job I have always wanted to do and it is first of all a passion!
